Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process where a neutral third party (the mediator) helps people in conflict have a structured conversation to resolve their issues. The mediator does not take sides or make decisions. Instead, they guide the discussion, help clarify concerns, and support the parties in finding their own mutually acceptable solutions.
-
No. The mediator does not decide the outcome or impose a solution. Their role is to remain neutral and help the parties communicate effectively, explore options, and work toward their own agreement.
Any outcome reached in mediation is made by the participants themselves. This gives the parties more control over the result and allows solutions to be tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.

Fees are determined based on the complexity of the matter, the format (in-person or virtual), and the number of parties involved.
Generally, the fee for a full-day virtual mediation (up to 7 hours) is $1,500. A half-day virtual mediation (up to 4 hours) is $1,000. Hours above these allotments will be billed at the applicable hourly rate.
Lunau Mediation will also conduct a select number of mediations at the roster rate. Please contact us directly to discuss this option.
